 Program Outcomes Academic Information

Program Outcomes are the standards by which the effectiveness of the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing program is measured.  These outcomes are:

  • The graduates of Ellis Hospital School of Nursing will achieve a passing rate on NCLEX-RN equal or greater than the state passing average on their first attempt.
  • The student completion/graduation rate will be 75% of the enrolled student population.
  • Ninety percent of graduates actively seeking employment will secure a nursing position within six months of graduation.
  • Graduates will report 100% satisfaction with the educational program at EHSON one year and five years after graduation.
  • Graduates will report a satisfactory level of competence as reflected in the systematic evaluation graduate survey at one and five years after graduation.
  • Employers will report 100% satisfaction with our graduates at one and five years after graduation.
  • Employers will report satisfaction with the competence of graduates as reflected in the systematic evaluation employer survey at one and five years after graduation.


  • Eighty-five percent of graduates will participate in continuing education in nursing five years after graduation.
